Judge rules deposition for Andrew Shirvell can't be sealed

(Detroit Free Press) -- ...On Wednesday, Shirvell lost an attempt to have a deposition, scheduled for July 6, sealed from public view. Judge Arthur Tarnow issued a four-page order denying the request.

Shirvell, a former assistant state attorney general for Michigan, became obsessed and began to attack Chris Armstrong, the openly gay student body president of the University of Michigan, via his blog.  Shirvell was fired when he was accused of using work computers to write for his blog and lying about it.  He is being sued by Armstrong for harassment.

Shirvell's smear campaign of Armstrong was done for all to see.  He wanted shine a big homophobic spot like on Armstrong and open him up to public ridicule.  Now when the spotlight is on him, he wants to hide.
